Pearson Neo - 1; My Atheist Group - 0

At the beginning of the year, our company rolled out its own social network site called Neo.  In addition to using it for official purposes, non-work-related groups started popping up (stuff like the pet lovers group and the movie lovers group).  After searching the groups, I found one for believers that was started by an HR person in England.  So, I made a group for freethinkers and atheists (and agnostics, too).

Over the months, I have posted two blogs (to the neglect of this blog) and 21 discussions and actually got more member than the Christian group did.  Unfortunately after posting a link to an article criticizing a bigoted preacher who advocates beating the gay out of your kids, Pearson notified me to shut down the group.  They are claiming that religious (or anti-religious) and political content is not allowed (although I did look for those kind of policies ahead of time).

Anyhow, I've decided the preserve the content of the atheist group I created on my employer's social network and will re-post them all here.  Most of the discussions were quotations and I didn't blog much content but I was mulling around some ideas and after the transfer, I'll just blog them here.  After I tear down the site, I will ask the powers that be to please also ask that believers group to dismantle their group, as well.
